For bachelor of science students graduating during the 2023-2024 academic year, we invite you to attend the departmental graduation celebration.  This event is open to our undergraduate students in Applied Mathematics and Computational Finance & Risk Management.  (Cap & gown encouraged, but not required, for the departmental event.)  RSVP by May 15, 2024.

Prevention of COVID-19

If you are exhibiting any symptoms, please stay home. Follow any public health directives in place on the date of the event, such as wearing masks, vaccination, or COVID-19 testing. See UW's COVID-19 facts and resources site for more information. 

Guidelines for guests during graduation ceremonies:

  • Silence all devices that may disrupt the ceremony.
  • Refrain from disruptive behavior that is potentially harmful to others or distracts from the event, including verbal and non-verbal discrimination, harassment, or threats.
  • Remain in designated seating and observation sections during the entire ceremony unless utilizing the restrooms.
  • Out of respect for others, hold applause and cheers until designated times.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local laws, university guidelines, and venue-specific rules.
  • Follow all instructions from event staff and volunteers.

Diplomas

Diplomas will be mailed to the address that students select in MyUW (local or permanent), approximately two months following graduation. The Department of Applied Mathematics does not manage the mailing of diplomas, so please contact the Graduation and Academic Records Office with any questions.
