The Department of Applied Mathematics is looking to fill three faculty positions - two tenure-track assistant professors and one promotable assistant teaching professor. The department is seeking candidates that complement the current research strengths of the department (in no particular order) in data science, scientific computing and numerical analysis, nonlinear waves and coherent structures, mathematical biology, atmospheric science and climate modeling, applied analysis, stochastic modeling, mathematical finance, and optimization, or bring in new areas of expertise.
