Biography
As a graduate research fellow, I work at the nexus of computational neuroscience and AI, aiming to exploit the rapid advancement in deep learning tools and large-scale neural recordings to study how the brain learns to process information. My research is funded by NSERC PGS-D and NSF AccelNet IN-BIC fellowships. I have contributed as the lead author in NeurIPS, PNAS, and IEEE publications. My current projects involve using theoretical deep learning to examine the representation and generalization properties of bio-plausible learning systems. I've held visiting research roles at the Allen Institute for Brain Science and Mila - Quebec AI Institute. Furthermore, I've been dedicated to teaching and academic services, including serving as the instructor for a third-year undergraduate course in Summer 2022.
