Jacob Price is currently a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington. He is passionate about teaching mathematics and has strong interests in scientific computing, reduced order modeling, and multiscale modeling. Under the mentorship of Panos Stinis, he is studying novel reduced order models with memory for partial differential equations without scale separation.
He has also conducted research on multiscale plasma physics simulation at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, and collaborates with undergraduate students on conditional path sampling through the Washington Experimental Mathematics Laboratory.
